UB Rugby alum to exhibit latest work in Nepal


UB Rugby alumni Alberto Rey (UB 85-87) is working on a complex environmental art project in Nepal, the Bagmati River Arts Project.

The project includes paintings, water data from the Bagmati River, a book about the project, a documentary and artwork by Nepalese artists whose attention focuses on issues related to the Bagmati River.

The project also features an exhibition at the Siddhartha Art Gallery at Barbar Mahal Revisited in Kathmandu opening on November 20th, 2016.

Rey is a Distinguished Professor at SUNY Fredonia, an Orvis endorsed fly fishing guide, and the founder/director of Children in the Stream, a youth fly fishing program. His artwork has been in approximately two hundred exhibitions and is in the permanent collections of twenty museums in the United States and Europe.
