The UBRAA is excited to announce plans for our 2024 UB Rugby Alumni Weekend, May 3-5 in Buffalo, NY.
To celebrate the 40th Anniversary of UB Rugby's first alumni game in 1984, the UBRAA has chosen two special teams from that era for induction into the UB Rugby Hall of Fame:
The '77-'83 team who helped re-establish rugby on campus after a six-year absence and built the foundation for the club's success to come.
The 1982 UB Rugby Black Horses plus one random Syracuse Harlequin
The '84-'89 team who won the first of the club's several NYS College D1 championships and were the first UB side to qualify for USA Rugby's Collegiate National Championship.

Our weekend begins Friday evening with happy hour at Jack Rabbit Buffalo on Elmwood Avenue from 6-9pm. Our happy hour has always been a highlight of the weekend as players past and present meet and swap stories, some of which might even be true.
Saturday is a rugby day! Join us at 1pm at the Ellicott Rugby Pitch on UB's North Campus as the current team prepares to once again be soundly beaten by the UB Rugby alumni.
Saturday night is our annual UBRAA Alumni Dinner and Hall of Fame Induction at the M Hotel Buffalo from 6-11pm. We will enjoy five hours of open bar, dinner, and celebrate our UB Rugby Hall of Fame inductees.
We have also reserved a block of rooms at the hotel for the weekend. The hotel is located just minutes from Buffalo Niagara International Airport, UB North Campus, the Elmwood strip, and downtown Buffalo.

As part of our 40th Anniversary celebration, we have limited-edition commemorative TUBAS jerseys for sale. Patterned after the original 1989 TUBAS jersey, this 100% cotton, old school design honors both the past and the present with the classic maroon and gold colors alongside UB blue and features embroidered Mad Turtle, TUBAS, and UB logos.
Jerseys must be pre-ordered by March 17th to ensure delivery by Alumni Weekend.
