The UBRAA is thrilled to announce Alumni Weekend '22, our first since 2019!
Alumni Weekend '22 will be held April 29 - May 1, 2022, in Buffalo NY. The UBRAA is hosting an entire weekend of events, including:
Friday night social and Saturday evening alumni banquet
A UB Rugby home match at UB North Campus
The unveiling of the new professional goal posts at the UB Rugby pitch, generously donated by the UBRAA
Honoring and inducting the UB Rugby Team of 1993-1998 into the UB Rugby Hall of Fame (if you played those years and have not booked your flights, now is the time!)
UB Rugby Alumni Weekend '22 Events Schedule Friday April 29, 2022
11am Seniors Breakfast, UB North Campus The UBRAA Board will be inducting this year's graduating seniors into our Alumni Association with a small breakfast to recognize their contribution to UB Rugby.
6 - 10pm Friday Night Social, Pressure Drop Brewing,1672 Elmwood Ave, Buffalo NY. Pressure Drop Brewing is owned and operated by UB Rugby Womens Rugby Alum, Lexi (Miller) Craine. Open bar and food will be provided by the UBRAA

12:30pm Goal Post Unveiling, Ellicott Pitch - UB North Campus In 2021 the UBRAA purchased and donated 45' professional rugby goal posts that were installed at the Ellicott rugby pitch. Please join us as we "cut the ribbon" for their first usage as they replace the rusted set of posts that we all played with.
1pm UB Rugby vs. LeMoyne College, Ellicott Pitch, UB North Campus Watch the UB Rugby Bulls take on the LeMoyne College Dolphins at the Ellicott Pitch in a match refereed by UB Rugby alumnus Rob Mercurio. (Old boys/alumni game to follow A-side match depending on demand). UB Rugby merchandise will be available for purchase at the field.
6 - 10pm Alumni Banquet, Jack Rabbit Buffalo, 1010 Elmwood Ave, Buffalo NY Jack Rabbit Buffalo will host our Alumni Banquet in a private room, with buffet dinner and four hours of open bar. During the evening we will give membership an update on our progress, induct our new UBRAA board members, and honor the UB Rugby teams of 1993-1998 by making the mid-90s team the first recipient of the UB Rugby Hall of Fame Award. There is even the possibility that mid-90s Alumnus, Nick "Yock" Yaworsky, will be doing a stand-up comedy set filled with jokes and political commentary!

11am - 3pm Empire Men's Club Regional Playoffs, Knox Farm State Park, East Aurora, NY The Buffalo Rugby Club is hosting the 2022 Atlantic Super Regional Rugby Festival which includes Men's and Women's D1, D2, D3 playoffs as club teams embark on their first step towards the USA Rugby National Championship. If you are still in town on Sunday, come watch some high-level rugby as well as many UB Rugby Alumni as they play for the BRC.
The UBRAA suggests a donation of $200 for those attending Alumni Weekend '22 Your donation will cover: • Food and open bar at our Friday and Saturday night events • Sponsorship of a UB Rugby undergrad at the Alumni Weekend events • A commemorative 2022 Alumni Weekend t-shirt with the new UBRAA Crest
If you cannot attend this year's Alumni Weekend, please consider making a donation of $100 to cover the cost of an undergrad at this year's events. Everyone making a donation of $100 or more will receive a UBRAA shirt.
The UBRAA is registered with the New York State Department of State as a not-for-profit corporation and is recognized by the IRS as a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization.
