The UBRAA is proud to announce the launch of a new Professional Network Program to connect current UB Rugby students with UB Rugby alumni working professsionally in their chosen field of interest.
What we did:
Over the summer the UBRAA conducted a survey of the current team to learn about their academic and career objectives as well as identify interest in professional networking and development support that alumni can offer. 32 students that played last year responded.
What did we learn?
Exercise Science, Engineering and Business were the top 3 Majors, followed by Accounting, Communications and Geology.
What career paths is the team interested post graduation?
The majors above will prepare these students to pursue a broad range of career interests, including:
Physical Therapist
Engineer across multiple disciplines
IT Professional/Computer Scientist
Accountant, Financial Advisor
Sports/Media Journalist
Lawyer, Doctor, Teacher/Educator
How can you as an alumni help?
We are looking for alumni who work in the fields identified above to connect the students to opportunities in your organizations, to offer career guidance or to be a mentor.
